The Residence Inn Portland, Maine renovation was a comprehensive property-wide upgrade designed to modernize the hotel while reflecting the unique character of Portland’s historic working waterfront.
The project included the renovation of all 179 guest rooms, the lobby, corridors, and communal spaces throughout the hotel. In the guest rooms, all king accommodations were upgraded by replacing traditional tub/shower combinations with modern walk-in showers featuring glass doors. Every guest room received fresh paint and new wall vinyl, creating a clean, contemporary look.
Public areas were completely refreshed with new flooring, locally inspired artwork, updated tables, and new communal gathering spaces that encourage guests to work, relax, and socialize. The design incorporated elements that capture the atmosphere of Portland’s working waterfront, giving the hotel a distinctive sense of place while enhancing the overall guest experience.
The completed renovation delivered a modern, welcoming environment that combines Residence Inn’s brand standards with the authentic charm and heritage of Portland, Maine.
